HEDN Coverage in DOAJ

HEDN(Health Emergency and Disaster Nursing) has been accepted for indexing in DOAJ, Directory of Open Access Journal sponsored by Infrastructure Services for Open Access(IS4OA), UK.
DOAJ lists open access journals, that is, scientific and scholarly journals that meet high quality standards by exercising peer review and/or editorial quality control.

HEDN is the first dedicated international peer-reviewed journal that supports and contributes to disaster prevention and regeneration by bringing together knowledge and best practice in nursing science. HEDN is the only world-wide journal on Health Emergency and Disaster Nursing.
However, HEDN lost its regular funding source when its grant from the Japanese government expired and was not renewed. This is hindering the editing and publishing efforts of HEDN.
The Disaster Nursing Group is working to support the HEDN editorial procedure and obtain alternative sources of funding.
In this era of SARS, MERS and now COVID-19, we think that the HEDN journal is more relevant than ever, and we hope that you or your organisation will please consider making a donation to support the Disaster Nursing Group and the journal of Health Emergency and Disaster Nursing (HEDN).
